President, Bhutan Theological Seminary
Dr. Tandin Wangyal is the Senior Pastor of Every Nation Church Bhutan and the President of Bhutan Theological Seminary. He is an ardent advocate of Business as Mission and often coins the term “Theologypreneur” to describe the integration of theology, mission, and entrepreneurship.In 2014, Dr. Wangyal faced persecution for his Christian faith and was sentenced to a four-year prison term. However, he was released on indefinite bail in early 2015. He currently serves as the General Secretary of Bhutan’s local Christian apex body, which functions as the council of churches and is popularly known as the Bhutan Christian Society.
