Member-care Ministry Team Leader, YWAM Korea
Dr. Ilyoung Jeong is a missionary, Christian educator, and member care leader serving with YWAM, with a deep commitment to the spiritual formation of the next generation, women, families, and mission communities.
Through years of cross-cultural ministry experience, including service in India, she has invested in discipleship, training, children’s ministry, and practical encouragement for local workers and their communities.
Over the last two and a half years, she has served in YWAM GMK, the Mission Department of YWAM Korea, as the Member Care Team Leader, caring for Korean YWAM missionaries serving among the nations as well as their missionary children, and leading regular online member care seminars that invite missionaries to pause, reflect deeply, and reconnect with who they are, where they are, and what they are truly called to in God.
As both a Christian educator and member care leader, she has given particular attention to missionary kids, believing they are a vital and significant next generation in God’s global mission. She also teaches seminarians at Torch Trinity Graduate University in Seoul in the field of Christian education, equipping future Christian education ministers to more effectively nurture and empower the next generation.
At the heart of her life and ministry is a desire to strengthen and restore God’s people through faithful, relational, Spirit-led service so that individuals, families, and future generations can flourish in their calling.
